The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 24 at 10 a.m.
The event will be held at Hackler Park, formerly Crestwood Park.
The event is for children ages one to eight.
Ages 1-2 will search for eggs together, as will 3-5 and 6-8.
Mayor Tami Fruhling-Voges wants to be accessible to her community.
In order to be available to as many citizens as possible Fruhling-Voges is starting a “Coffee with the Mayor” event on the fourth Saturday of each month. The first event will be held Jan. 27 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at El Toro in St. Joseph.
Whitney Setterdahl peeked down the toy and game aisles at the Urbana Meijer on Tuesday, finally stopping when she approached the sports trading card section.
“It’s hard to find items for boys,” she said. “We get a lot of makeup and lotion and things like that, but I like to try to get a lot of games that can be for either gender.”
Kent and Jill Robbins like to give back.
Both work tirelessly for causes they believe in.
This includes every thing from athletics at their former college to the
local food pantry.

Each year the Robbins plan a golf outing at the Danville Country Club to
support Eastern Illinois University athletics.

The annual Halloween Fundraiser for the St. Louis Children’s Hospital has a new location this year. Now, the event will be held in downtown St. Joseph on Oct. 21.
“We had interest from business to have it downtown and I think it’s a better location that people will see it and attend,” said event chair Mary Derenne said.

The store was located at 218 E. Lincoln St. in St. Joseph and was owned by Ken Irle. The older building didn’t have much at a first. An older electrical box with screw-in fuses, few windows and a small back room.
Didn’t matter to Munday. It was meant to be.
The Jan Gallo Dance Studio is welcoming a TV star on Oct. 7.
“We are crazy excited,” Jan Gallo said.
The studio will be hosting a Pop Up Master Hip Hop Class taught by Comfort Fedoke.
Fedoke was a contestant on season four of the Show “So You Think You Can Dance?”.

Every year St. Joseph-Ogden High School inducts individuals into its Hall of Fame.
Inductees can be friends of the district who have made outstanding contributions, former coaches or sponsors or alumni who have been graduated for at least five years.
Four days of fun are coming to Royal this weekend.
The annual Royal Days event will take place Aug. 3-6.
“The success of Royal Days is a true testament to the wonderful people in our community,” said event co-organizer Susan Goldenstein. “We could not do it without the support from the village, residents or our sponsors.”
