Mayor Tami Fruhling-Voges wants to be accessible to her community.
In order to be available to as many citizens as possible Fruhling-Voges is starting a “Coffee with the Mayor” event on the fourth Saturday of each month. The first event will be held Jan. 27 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at El Toro in St. Joseph.
“I want to give residents a chance to come to me with any concerns they may have,” Fruhling-Voges said. “I not only want to hear their concerns but also share information on what projects or goals that the village is working on.”
Every month Fruhling-Voges will hold “Coffee with the Mayor” at a different location in town.
“I want to showcase all our great businesses,” Fruhling-Voges said.
Fruhling-Voges became mayor in 2017 after serving as a village trustee since 2005.
